There are many who believe that there have been alien visitations upon Earth. Among them is a significant proportion that believes that these aliens are all to be found at the mysterious #Area51 in the USA. One Facebook post invited people to storm Area 51 on 20 September – for some reason, this post went viral and some 2.1 million people claim to be going for this; 1.5 million are interested. This is happening today, and a lot of people are watching in great amusement:
People are having a grand time trying to picture all the aliens that will presumably be found in area 51.
This hashtag has been trending again.
Some had forgotten – I certainly had. But the internet never forgets.
There are those who have arrived in their droves to participate in this ‘event’. The authorities, who’ve presumably been trying to hide the aliens, have had a lot of notice --- so what really is the point?
..Yet again
So many people at one very secure location guarded by heavily armed personnel --- sounds like a recipe for disaster feel a lot of the tweeple.
There has been so much interest in the event that lot of people have descended into the area. An alien-themed party has been organised in the Nevada desert, Bud Light is sponsoring an event in Las Vegas and there are others planning events to cash in.
Some are expressing a ghoulish interest in the event; in the expectation that there will be chaos and mayhem and violence at the event.
Meme makers are prepping for various outcomes: if nothing happens, if they kill everyone and if they find aliens --- this guy clearly seeks to cover all bases.
You notice this twitter user doesn’t plan to go but is offering advice and luck to other ‘heroic’ people who may decide to do so.
People think that the whole idea of trying to get into a heavily guarded secure facility is a little silly – particularly as there seems to be absolutely no plan in place.
Someone took the trouble of creating this plan.
A lot of people seem to be anticipating violence --- and they think it’s all really, really funny.
Right now, the tweeple are just amusing themselves by making these jokes.
More death jokes – with monsters aliens.
The tweeple have imagination --- I’ll grant you that.
While millions have said they will be going, it is unlikely that anywhere near that number will be at Area 51.
What will they do after a successful/unsuccessful Area 51 raid? Plan a visit to the Bermuda Triangle?
