Katrina Kaif, who has now established herself in Bollywood as one of the leading actresses, started her career from modelling when she was a teenager.
She was born in Hong Kong and recieved her first modelling assignment in a jewellery campaign, after winning a beauty contest in Hawaii at the age of 14.
She was first spotted by a filmmaker Kaizad Gustad in a fashion show and got selected for a role in the English-Hindi film, 'Boom'.
She was first noticed as a model in 2003, when she walked the ramp for Rohit Bal at the India Fashion Week and was featured in the Kingfisher Calendar.
After which she appeared in the Telugu film 'Malliswari' in 2004, and grabbed the attention of many with her performance.
Next year, she got her first official break in Bollywood as a leading actress in the movie 'Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya' opposite Salman Khan, Sushmita Sen and Sohail Khan.
