All You Need To Know About Neerja Bhanot Who Saved 359 Lives

Neerja Bhanot, was a flight attendant on board the Pan Am Flight 73 from Mumbai, that was HiJacked in 1986 by terrorists in Karachi.
When four heavily armed hijackers came on board she alerted the crew in the cockpit, and they managed to escape. Bhanot chose to stay back and take charge.
She was shot dead by the hijackers while acting as a shield for 3 children. The hijackers were eventually captured by Pakistani commandos. They were tried and sentenced to life in prison in Pakistan.
The Pakistan government awarded her with the "Medal of Excellence" for her bravery that saved 359 innocent lives.
Now, a documentary style Bollywood movie Neerja is going to be released in February 2016. This stars Sonam Kapoor in the lead titular role.
