Recently, the trailer of the movie 'Baar Baar Dekho' was launched which stars Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra in the lead roles. The story line of the movie as depicted was based on a different time period in which a person travels in time to the future to see how his marriage works. Well, this isn’t the first time our Bollywood is experimenting with this genre, there are other movies which had same genre. However, some went flop at the box office and some made huge amounts of money.
Fun2shh - It was a low budget 2003 released movie in which three men were accused of stealing a crown and while running from the police they travelled back to the 10th century. However, the movie didn't work well, but Paresh Rawal's role was much appreciated.
Teri Meri Kahani - The movie sets in 1910, 1960 and 2012. It was a romantic drama movie in which all three characters from three different time periods were linked to each other. It was a remake of the Taiwanese film 'Three Times' and did quite well at the box office.
Dangerous Ishq - Starring Karisma Kapoor in the lead role, was set in four different time periods. It was quite a historical movie, but received mostly negative reviews.
Love Story 2050 - We think it was one of the biggest blunder experiments ever made by Bollywood starring Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja in the lead roles. It was a commercial disaster which was only about travelling to the future.
Action Replayy - It was an another disappointing story which is more like a reverse story of 'Baar Baar Dekho'. The plot was based on a person who travels back in time so that he can fix the marriage of his parents.
Om Shanti Om - Well, this movie actually did it's magic at the box office, starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. Maybe Shah Rukh Khan was the only reason behind its success.
