She started her career with Television shows and later moved to Bollywood, but, it was not easy for her. In her early days, she was labeled as "Bad Luck", due to which she was removed from 12 assignments from down South. Although, her hard work finally paid off and she is now one of the most sucessful actresses in Bollywood.
She wanted to become an architect and enrolled herself at Rachana Sansad Academy of Architecture, but later she dropped out to pursue a career in modelling. She was first spotted by her photographer professor for an assignment, which led her to apply for Miss World competition. After becoming Miss World in 1994, she never looked back and became one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood.
He used to live in a Chawl in Teen Batti area of Malabar Hill, Mumbai and was known by the name of Jaggu Dada. He was picked up from the bus stand for movies, after which he went on to become a superstar.
He used to work as a cook and martial arts trainer in his early days. He struggled for each penny during that time, but fortunately his hard work paid off and today he is one of the highest paid actors in Bollywood.

In his early days, he used to work in Bangalore Transport Service (BTS) as a bus conductor and had a unique style of ticket collecting. He began acting after a Kannada playwright Topi Muniappa offered him a chance to act in of his plays. He eventually became famous and today he is worshipped by millions of people in India.
Before making his acting debut with Band Baja Barat, he used to work in Starbucks and did many small modeling assignments. He's deifinately come a long way!
