I’ve been stuck in the worst possible traffic jams caused by a broken down truck, or unruly drivers who don’t follow rules or some accident. At times like these one loses hope of getting out of there anytime soon. Then we catch a glimpse of the white shirt with the black strip down the arms and the whistle hanging from the yellow chord, we perk up because we know that things are going to look up now.
The people who bring us out of our misery everyday are the traffic police and yet the drivers, in their air conditioned cars, or on bikes that zoom past don’t give a moment’s thought to these individuals who stand for hours in the sweltering heat, deal with boiling tempers and arrogant attitudes to make sure our lives are smoother. So when we saw the #100DaysOfSummer initiative by Lipton Iced Tea to bring a little cool refreshment in the lives of these men and women, we were not only impressed, we wanted to share it with everyone.

The Capital experienced some relief from the heat day before yesterday due to the storm, winds and rainfall. With the relief however, came horrible traffic snarls.
