Arjun Rampal was not very great with films and even though we can't admire him highly for his acting skills, he has done something that will definitely make us salute him. He is one among the nine celebrities, who came together to pay their respects to the Indian army in the best possible way – by scaling the world’s 2nd longest glacier, Siachen.

How hard is life at ‘Siachen’?

Siachin Glacier

Siachin Glacier

You need to fall, rise, but still march ahead undefeated through the extreme climate of Siachen. The story of Siachen started back in 1981 when the Indian Army made history by crossing the uncharted Siachen, also known as the Third Pole. The temperature in Siachen during winters can fall as low as minus 50 degrees. Siachen Glacier stretches nearly 50 miles along the eastern Karakoram Range in the Kashmir region between India and Pakistan, where even the national borders get blurry.
