While we barely recovered from the terrorist attacks in Paris, another peaceful capital has been struck by terrorism. On Tuesday morning, two blasts rocked the departure hall of Brussels Airport (Capital of Belgium), while a third rocked the downtown subway station, causing many deaths on the spot as well as hundreds of injuries. As per the latest numbers, 21 people are reported to have been killed in these bomb blasts in Brussels.

No space for peace!

As per the passengers and staff, the first explosion happened around 8:00 in the morning. which is also the peak hour for morning check-ins of passengers travelling within Europe. After an hour, another explosion occurred at the Subway Station that is just a few meters away from the European Union headquarters.

According to the Belgian broadcaster VRT, a suicide bomber was responsible for one of the blasts. Another report by a local TV channel said that three more suicide belts equipped with explosives were found at the Airport by Police. Not just that, many of the resources have stated that the explosions were restricted by the Brussels Police with their investigation, as otherwise, thousands more would have perished in one day. The authorities are still not sure about the people behind these terror attacks, but a red alert has been declared by the Belgian Government.

Where did all the humanity go?

Let us all pray for the lives of those affected by this gruesome terror strike and may Belgium soon recover from this tragedy.
