Indian social media’s fave insult for perceived anti-nationals is to tell them to go to Pakistan. Our government also flexes its political muscle by showing aggression for our closest neighbor. Even Bollywood has made it a practice to demonise the Paki and to frame the country and its people as inimical to our wellbeing. In this atmosphere of suspicion and hate, when people of India and Pakistan make generous gestures towards each other, this is always welcome.
This Twitter user says that this was his best experience with Uber; a service he has used in five continents. He spoke about his cabbie Ahmed who refused to take money from him because he was a guest in his country.

The common people of both countries understand that there is no personal enmity between the two. No one wants war. Everyone wants a peaceful existence and a chance to progress and prosper. When someone like Prabhdas Singh has a positive experience such as this one, we are all reminded of this central fact of life… here as well as the other side of the border.
