They say if you love your job, you're already a success! It is true; work doesn’t seem like work if you enjoy doing it and if you're happy in your workplace. Recently the awards for the happiest places to work in Dubai were given out. Read on to know more about the happiest places to work in Dubai:
The awards were presented in an event by Sustainable Mindz, a corporate sustainability and responsibility (CSR) expertise centre. This is the second edition of this event. An independent panel examined 67 nominees to arrive at their conclusions. 16 organisations were shortlisted before awards were given out in five different categories.
The Dubai Police was named happiest work place in the public sector. This was seen to be among the best public sector organisations when it comes to being proactive about enhancing workers’ happiness quotient.
In the private sector, Aafaq Islamic Finance was found to be the happiest place to work. The company also won the award for the Best Employee Engagement category
Organisations including Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, TIME Hotels and Dubai Islamic Bank won this award. The award for the Best Workers Welfare Programme category went to Fujairah Municipality.
In the workplace sustainability category, the children’s nursery Blossom by Babilou Education snagged the top award. Dubai Statistics Centre, Dubai Police and Savola Group were judged as having the Best Work-Life Balance Programmes.
The awards were instituted in 2017 to promote positivity and happiness in the workplace in the Gulf and MENA region. The idea is to identify and honour organisations that are forward thinking and which believe in putting their workforce at the centre of their operations. The idea is to recognise and value the organisations that believe in the adage that happy employees make high performing organisations. Jury members included illustrious names such as Dr Saamdu Chetri, (Visiting Faculty at IIT Kharagpur), Dr Yasmin Al Bulushi, (Dean of Muscat College — Oman), Dr Mansour Anwar, Head of Happiness & Tolerance, and Jane Fiona Cumming, Director and Co-Founder, Article 13 — UK.
