Dubai for many is the land of dreams and of great opportunities. For an average Indian, the context of migrating to Dubai is similar to the fashion of realizing one's dreams in the dream city of Mumbai. It's magnanimous infrastructure, booming corporate culture and vibrant spirit of entrepreneurship have ensured that it remains the darling of the Middle East. But what's the latest sensation about Dubai that got everyone talking once again:
It is being reported that Dubai has planned to stamp its world-class authority in the magnificent landscape of world class infrastructure. If this new marvel is accomplished, which in all probability it will be, it will re-position Dubai as the leading power among those in the world in the ambit of world-class architecture and infrastructure.
Dubai, it is reported, is building the world's largest tower. This tower, once complete will hand Dubai another sterling record, in the sense that the destination is already star-lit with the highest sky-scraper in the world - Burj Khalifa.
It will be a tower, and a massive one at that. The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour- which is a joint venture between Emaar properties and Dubai Holding, the investment vehicle of the Emirate's ruler, will be completed in 2020.
At the moment it's all guesswork and speculative work with the media trying to conjecture about the height of the Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour. No real details have been officially announced. But what is certainly known is that there will be a host of tourist attractions in the immediate vicinity of the aforementioned structure- including- a residential area next to a waterfront and several garden-themed observation decks.
While the talk and work about Dubai's futuristic Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour is still majorly work in pipeline, it is still a great testimony to Dubai's ambition to leave an indelible mark and an impressionable impact at the face of world-class infrastructure as constituted by epic architectural prowess.
It is no surprise that when it comes to beauty, might and lofty promises, Dubai leaves no stone unturned. Home to the Burj Khalifa- the world's tallest sky-scraper at a height of 829.8 meters, Dubai has already caught the attention of the world that sees in it a reflection of realizing great promises.
At the moment, the world's largest tower is the Tokyo Sky Tree at 634 meters. Dubai, it is rumored will a few notches clearly above that landmark. We will have to wait and see what it has in the offing but one is sure that given its streak of producing landmark infrastructure, the new tower will be utterly delightful and a touristic spectacle.
