11 Year Old Indian R. Praggnanandhaa Creates Sensation By Becoming The Youngest Chess International Master

It is not everyone's cup of tea to be special and brilliant at Chess. It is an intelligent game and a clever puzzle if you think about it. But then, there are also geniuses who reduce a complex maze of the obduracy of Chess into being a cakewalk. But then again, such geniuses are far too few to reckon. And in this special league of talent is a young gun, an 11 year old Indian who is making news for an emphatic reason:

1. Meet R. Praggnanandhaa, the 11 year old Indian prodigee

This special and remarkably talented Chess expert has risen as something of a maestro at Chess when he became the youngest ever at the International Master, popularly known as the IM.

2. Leaving an experienced and celebrated chess opponent stunned

In any sport, the contest between a young neophyte and an experienced player of caliber and repute can be a little off setting, isn't it. Even more so when it comes to something as gripping and gritty as Chess, a test of a person's mental skills and sharpness. But facing the Paraguyan Chess Grand-Master Axel Bachmann did little to alarm the young and inexperienced Praggnanandhaa who made light-work of the experienced campaigner.

3. Attaining glory in flat 18 moves

It took R. Praggnanandhaa just 18 moves and not one more to undo the great champ from Paraguay, Axel Bachmann. Impressively, the much impressive victory of 11 year old Praggnanandhaa came at a prestigious feat of international chess: Masters section of chess championship at Isle of Man.

4. Unmatched skills and focus of the 11 year old

At the moment, there is one solitary name doing the rounds on everyone's lips in the chess fraternity and it is that of R. Praggnanandhaa's. The young International Master displayed a clinical exhibition on October 9 and in a swift attack using black pieces, compelled inarguably one of the best competitors at the American contingent to resign in just 18 moves

5. A memorable tournament for the prodigious talent

Before taking on Bachmann in the fourth and important game of this prestigious tournament, young Praggnanandhaa had lost 3 of the 4 games he contested in. But he did not give up hope and came up with a completely unprecedented move in this much rewarding contest that saw an experienced opponent stunned at the youngsters' talent.

6. Bold moves on the chess board

Chess, in many ways imitates life. And the same can be said about the other way round. Unique surprises, unprecedented moves and great upsets are all part of life and often find them repeated on chess's checkered marquee. In this memorable contest between R. Praggnanandhaa and Axel Bachmann, the young Indian's moves were so bold and strong yet so well conceived and uncanny that even they would have made any chess legend utterly surprized and clueless. Today, the entire chess community is proud of this stellar 11 year old talent.

7. Not the first time that the 11 year old has impressed

Back in 2013, Praggnanandhaa won the World Youth Chess Championship Under-8 boys title. Soon after this memorable triumph, he would go on to bag 2015's Under-10 boys title. And with this recent triumph at the Isle of Man, R. Pragnanandhaa has become the youngest international master in the history of Chess at the age of 10 years, 10 months and 19 days. Incredible, isn't it?
