Why Do You Remember Dreams While Others Don't?

Dreaming comes naturally to all of us, but not everyone remebers what they dreamt about last night after waking up. Here is why we all dream differently and what it is secretly telling us.

Neuron Brain Firing

During REM sleep, neuron brains randomly fire while maintaining the brain memory and this is when the dreams get stored. So, the moment you wake up, you only remember the part of the dream during which these firings happened.

Responding to stimuli

Some people actively respond to their nearby stimuli and these are the people who end up remembering their dreams.

Not remembering unimportant parts

Some scientist claim that we tend to remember only the most important parts of our dream, so the days when you see unimportant dreams, you simply forget.

Head injury may cause this

If you have a head injury, chances are that your brain wouldn't be able to accumulate all the memories you had in your dream last night.

Medicines can lead to forgetting dreams

Some medicines tend to have reaction in the brain that lets you forget dreams. This might also change your sleeping pattern and might lead to loss of memory.

Is it important to dream?

Well no, we all dream at night. It's just that your mind is not able to store the dreams. But that doesn't mean that you are not dreaming.

Repressed thoughts

Some scientists believe that the repressed thoughts that we see in our dreams are the ones that we don't remember. That is because we actually do not give too much importance to them once we wake up.

So, how many dreams do you remember?
