More For You In The UK Or More For Your Rupee

Top of the season to you Guv’nor! Innit just the best time to go visitn’ the UK? In case you are wondering why I’m writing like this it’s because I can honestly say that I love going to the UK and right now, this month is the right time for everyone to plan a trip. Here’s why:

Stronger Rupee = Stronger You

London Heathrow

Have you heard the saying, “Strike while the iron is hot”? It means that you need to make the most of every given opportunity, so that you can turn things to your advantage. As of 25th November the Indian Rupee became stronger despite the whole demonetisation drive. Which means that for the same amount of Indian National Rupees, you can get more Great Britain Pounds, so obviously you can do more with your travel fund right now. Better get your packing done quickly.

Increased Buying Power = More Shopping

Harrods of London

This is the one time of the year when there are crazy, throwaway sales going on all across the UK. Christmas is coming up so obviously people will shop for gifts, and to draw the crowds all the retail chains are offering unbelievable deals to shoppers. From Harrods to Primark, there will be sales, sales, and more sales. To make things sweeter, if you travel British Airways then you get special discounts at UK’s most prestigious heritage brands, all the way till March 31, 2017. Find out more about this special offer here.

December Visit = Christmas Lights and Snow

London, All Lit Up

Since this is the biggest festive season in the UK, you will get to witness colours, lights and life like you wouldn’t see at any other time of the year. It is as if the whole country will get dressed up and lit up just for you. For e.g. Peter Henn declared the cul-de-sac at Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset as the Most Festive Street in the UK. And those not wanting to go that far can simply enjoy the lights in London at Regent Street, Oxford Street and Covent Garden.

British India History = History That Can’t Be Experienced in India

Backstage Entrance

Sounds strange, right? That there is a part of Indian History that cannot be experienced in India. You may have heard of the whole controversy around the Koh-i-noor Diamon, and well you can see the Koh-i-noor on display at the Tower of London, along with other things that you may have read about in your history books while growing up. You will also see a lot of similarities between Central London and Delhi’s Connaught Place as well as the cobbled streets of Kolkata.

Sightseeing = Soul Enrichment, Forever

Tower Bridge of London

There are many flavours to London and that’s why it is one of the most visited cities in the world. There are the historic bits, the secret bits, the authentic bits, and then there is all the green. The famous places that every tourist visits are the Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, London Bridge (which is not falling down), Sherlock Holmes Museum, and the London Eye. If you want to experience the less touristy parts and the more ‘real London’ parts then click here.

I’m excited, aren’t you? My personal favourite for travelling to the UK is to go with British Airways. They have the best food options, seats, in-flight entertainment and they treat families travelling with children, with extra care. Since they are also offering extra discounts on shopping if you fly with them right now, it also is the most value for money. For those of you who decide to go, Bon Voyage, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
