Any film that Rajkumar Hirani makes, I want to watch. 3 Idiots, the Munnabhai films, P.K., Sanju are all highly watchable films. Sunju may have been a vehicle for vindication for Bollywood’s baddest boy, but it was still a well-made and highly entertaining film. So when Rajkumar Hirani announces a movie with SRK, everyone is interested. The film is going to be called Dunki and fans are going to have to wait a really long time for this – the release date being December 2023.
Comedy, emotion, and romance – the movie promises it all. It also has a peculiar name.
SRK tweeted this – calling Hirani his Santa Claus. This collab has been a long time in the making and it is finally happening
Taapsee Pannu will also be a part of this project
This would be the dream of any Bollywood actor: to be working in a Hirani film and to be cast alongside King Khan.
That could apply to both these men – we have not seen films from them in a while.
Shah Rukh Khan was Hirani’s first choice for the Munnabhai films. However, things didn’t turn out the way they were meant to and this is the first time the two will work together.
In the short promo video, we see SRK using his trademark self deprecating humour; indicating a long-standing desire to work with Hirani. Needless to say, fans are delighted

SRK fans are waiting for his upcoming releases, such as Pathan, then Dunki. Later it is rumoured that SRK will be working with director Atlee Kumar, which will be titled Lion according to some unconfirmed reports.
Fans feel that the SRK and Hirani collab will be good for the Hindi film industry.
