Now this fresh-faced boy – Tom Holland – who plays Spiderman may not be everyone's idea of a superhero. However, he is a real hit with the kids. So as soon as the official trailer of Spider-Man: Far From Home released, it promptly became one of the top trending YouTube videos and the top trending hashtags on Twitter as well. Here’s the trailer and everything else you wanted to know about it.
Tom Holland addresses viewers directly and tells them not to watch any further if they haven’t watched Avengers Endgame because the trailer has major spoilers.
The trailer assumes that viewers have watched Endgame by now and are spoiler proof. So they go ahead and show Spiderman grieving for Ironman. The movie is set in a time directly after Endgame, when half of life (including Spiderman and his Aunty May apparently) has been resurrected.
The movie releases on 2 July 2019. Fans are really, really looking forward to it.
What after Spiderman, they ask! How long will we wait and what will we wait for, they ask!
Fans who mourned Tony Stark's heroic death were reminded of the copious tears they cried in the comforting concealment of the darkened movie theatre.
Ironman was something of a father figure to Spiderman; who clearly loved and was in awe of the older man.
The departure of Ironman leaves a gaping void in the superhero universe. Perhaps Spidey will fill it?
It is theorised that Thanos’s snap punched a hole into the multiverse. The appearance of Jake Gyllenhaal who plays Quentin Beck / Mysterio seem to suggest as much.
Spiderman is recruited by Nick Fury (after Spidey gives him the slip repeatedly) to battle various creatures called the Elementals. Fans are worried that the Elementals are actually a smoke and mirrors device created by Mysterio himself who is only pretending to be on the side of the good guys.
Finally! Someone said it! It is a little ridiculous to expect fans to believe that the people closest to Peter Parker don’t know about his superhero identity.
The trailer shows Peter going away for a holiday and the movie seems to promise to delve into his relationship with "MJ" (played by Zendaya) as well as his other friendships.
Why are all his friends still the same age? Did they also get dusted along with Spidey when Thanos snapped his fingers five years before? All the answers are hopefully revealed on 2 July 2019 when Spider-Man: Far From Home releases.
