Amitabh Bachchan’s Dr. Fixit Ad Triggered a Meme Fest on Twitter

As India’s biggest brand, Amitabh Bachchan has sold us everything from hair oil to phones, jewellery to life insurance, inner wear to TV services. He was recently spotted in an ad for Dr. Fixit, a waterproofing product being plugged for new houses or as useful ahead of Indian monsoon.

The Dr. Fixit ad

As ads go, this one is quite insipid. It is neither clever nor funny although they appeared to have been aiming for both. Rather than the actual ad, it was the memes that it inspired that were funnier.

Mr. Nepotism?

Karan Johar has probably launched more star kids than any other person in Bollywood. If people level the nepotism charge at him, they are not wrong.
