Bhai’s Bharat Trailer Triggered Memes – Here Are Some

My cousin once memorably said, if Salman Khan did nothing in a film but stand and fart, his fans would still make it a hit. Now that the Bharat trailer is out, dedicated Bhai fans are uncritically delighted. Others watched the trailer and created their own spin on it. Watch the trailer of Bharat, the memes and reactions to it and decide whether this is going to draw you to the theatre on 5 June when it releases.

He is a child of freedom – a 71-year-old who has lived a colourful life in a film that is the Indian remake of the Korean film Veteran. It is a film that claims to tell the story of the journey of the nation and the man. There are circus stunts, dancing, romance, drama, patriotism, exotic foreign locales; it’s going to be the whole package. Apart from Khan, the film stars Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Jackie Shroff. The movie is directed and jointly written by Ali Abbas Zafar.

Fans are delighted

The trailer has about 30 Million views on YouTube and is trending at No 1. Fans can hardly wait for the movie to release!

It isn’t versatility fans crave

Salman Khan is not about method acting or getting into the skin of the character. They don't really mind if he does the exact same thing in each film.

Being Salman

He is about Being Salman – regardless of the role to be played. And his core fan base likes it that way.

Implausible

One could say the story, the stunts and characters are implausible. Or you could just say, it’s a Salman film.

Historical period drama

The film is described as a historical period drama but seeing who stars in the film, it is bound to have a lot of fighting, muscle flexing, over the top action.

This unlikely stunt

Bhai jumps from one to another car onto a motorcycle. This commentator was reminded of the drunk driving homicide charge that Khan was acquitted of.

This triggered many memes

Kaif’s line telling a job applicant not to offer too much gyan has caught the fancy of the meme-makers.

The food blogger version of…

…Pav Bhaji!

Who or what is a ‘madam sir’?

Sounds like a generic salutation at the start of a letter when one doesn’t know the identity of the letter's recipient.

Katrina’s look

Her non-glam avatar in the film reminded some people of a few from the past.

Nagpur police

Others got in on the act. Riding on the trailer’s popularity, the Nagpur police tweeted this to caution people about CCTV cameras that are positioned across the city.

Remind you of someone?

This line from the Bharat trailer reminded this commentator of M S Dhoni. Must be cricket fever triggered by the ongoing IPL 2019!
