Top Indian journalist Rajdeep Sardesai recently discovered that twitter trolls are every bit as vicious, abusive and brazen as they are rumored to be. After suffering some very personal, very abusive and negative tweets, he even found that abusive direct messages had been sent from his account. Sardesai notified Twitter about the messages which he claims he did not send and temporarily went off Twitter. Many felt that Sardesai disabling his account temporarily was a victory for the trolls who thrive on any response to their attacks which are usually offensive, often irrelevant and always meant to trigger an emotional response. Whether you agree or not, Twitter Trolls are a reality and these are is a sample of a day in the life of a Twitter Troll:
Trendulkar couldn’t sleep
That is not a typo it is supposed to read ‘Trend’ulkar. India’s top trending Twitter Troll had this snide one for Sardesai’s short hiatus.
Chetan Bhagat is frequently trolled
Some feel India’s bestselling novelist has foot-in-the-mouth-istis, but trolls simply love him for the fodder he provides for them to come up with their barbed witticisms. Trendulkar is happy to oblige him too:

Kamaal R Khan has made a name for himself out of his sheer nuisance value… for the way he trolls celebs, flings out opinionated and offensive tweets as well as for his undisguised (and quite inexplicable) self love.

TV’s loudest voice Arnab Goswami, is a natural target for twitter trolls. Arnab memes populate the internet, delight WhatsApp jokers and of course make the twitterers reach for their vitriol.

Trolls particularly enjoy targeting women celebrities, magnifying any imagined slip-up, being offensive about their clothes, their bodies, their acting skills, their work, their opinions… it’s all grist for the mill, but some give as good as they get!

Because trolls are not known for their sterling vocabulary or in-depth knowledge of English grammar.
And some trolls backpedal – real quick
As you can see, this troll was not very brave.
Some are very pithy
They don’t need those 14o characters to make themselves heard.
Some take trolls in their stride
Alia Bhat has repeatedly proved that she is not just talented, but also very bright. Now it only the trolls were that bright.
