Iranian filmmaker, Majid Majidi's next venture 'Beyond the Clouds' is making the headlines these days. According to some reports, Deepika Padukone was supposed to play the leading role in this movie but she has now been replaced by another actor.
This film will mark the acting debut of Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khattar and the girl who has replaced Deepika, Malavika Mohanan.
FYI, she is a theatre actress and is a popular name in the Malyalam film industry. She is also the daughter of a cinematographer KU Mohanan who has worked on Bollywood films like 'Raees', 'Don', 'Talaash' and 'Fukrey'.
She was born in Kannur but lived her entire life in Mumbai only. She completed her graduation in Mass Media from Mumbai's Wilson College.
She made her acting debut in 2013 opposite Dulquer Salman in a Malayalam film titled 'Pattam Pole' and also appeared in a Kannada movie, 'Naanu Mattu Varalakshmi'.
She is now all set for her International project with director Majid Majidi, in which the music is composed by none other than A. R. Rahman.
