According to the latest news, Pratyusha Banerjee who is well known for her role as Anandi from 'Balika Vadhu' has committed suicide by hanging herself in her Mumbai house.

According to a report in Tellychakkar.com she was rushed to the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai's suburban Andheri where she was pronounced dead.

Her close friend from the industry Kamya Punjabi has confirmed the news but her family has not yet released any official statement.

The 24-year-old actress reportedly hung herself at her residence and was taken to the hospital by her mother.

Although, the reason for her suicide is still unknown. But according to some reports she took this drastic step due to issues in her personal life. May her soul rest in peace.
