While shooting at the Red Fort and India Gate, someone in the gathered crowd asked, "Why is Aishwarya wearing the makeup of a Budhiya?".

The film 'Sarabjit' stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda in lead roles, with Darshan Kumar and Richa Chaddha in supporting roles.

The film will be a narration on Sarabjit Singh's sister Dalbir Kaur being played by Aishwarya Rai.

The movie is slated for release on May 19, 2016 and will also be screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2016.
