9 Popular TV Actors Who Refused Bollywood Offers

In the entertainment industry, most of the actors dream about getting a chance to star in a Bollywood film. While on the other hand there are a few TV actors who refused Bollywood offers like a pro. Some of them think they are not ready for it, while some don't want to trade their stardom which they have gained in the TV industry for Bollywood. They are quite happy with their work. So, here we bring you a list of such actors who have refused Bollywood offers.

Ankita Lokhande

Pavitra Rishta actress who is also known for her participation in dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (Season 4), with Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has turned down many offers in the past. But, now she will be making her Bollywood debut soon with Kangana Ranaut's film Manikarnika. 

Mohit Raina

He is popularly known for portraying the role of Lord Shiva in the TV series Devon Ke Dev – Mahadev and Mahabharat. Did you know, he was offered a role in Bipasha Basu's Creature 3D? However, he turned it down to remain in the TV industry for good.

Adaa Khan

She also got many Bollywood offers after the success of her TV serial Naagin, in which she portrayed the role of "Shesha Naagin".  But, it is said that she rejected all of them by saying "I have been getting quite a lot of film offers, but I was not prepared to enter such a big industry. Whenever I will be prepared, I will definitely do it."

Shaheer Sheikh

He is a lawyer turned Indian television actor, who is popularly known for his role of Devrath "Dev" Dixit in "Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi". In an interview, he quoted that, "I have been offered films as well but it's better to do good television shows rather than a small role in a film".

Drashti Dhami

She is one of the most popular TV actress, known for her TV shows such as Dill Mill Gayye, Geet - Hui Sabse Parayi, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. It is said that she was offered the lead role in Rohit Shetty's Singham Returns but she refused it since she was too busy with her show Madhubala.

Jay Soni

This Indian actor is known for his TV shows such as Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan, Sasural Genda Phool and Sanskaar - Dharohar Apno Ki. Before making his TV debut he appeared in a small role in a 2003 Bollywood film "Dil Maange More". But later he decided to turn down such Bollywood offers. 

In an interview with Times of India, he said that "I wasn't too happy with what I was being offered. I don't have a problem doing a cameo as long as my scenes are mine and I'm not expected to share the screen space with other actors."

Kapil Sharma

He has already made his Bollywood debut with the film "Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karun", but he has also refused an offer to star in the Yash Raj banner film "Bank Chor". We assume that he might have rejected it due to his busy schedule.

Karan Tacker

He is well known for his role of Viren Vadhera in the TV serial "Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai". Recently, there were some speculations about his Bollywood debut that he will be starring in "Student of the Year 2". But, he refuted the rumours saying he isn't.  

Mrunal Thakur

Kumkum Bhagya actress has impressed Aditya Chopra and Aamir Khan with her work in the TV industry. And that's why they were keen to have her on board in their upcoming film "Thugs Of Hindostan". But, she refused the role and they finally roped in Fatima Sana Sheikh.
