He described his childhood as "tough" due to his family's financial problems and therefore, he never attended college. He started his career at the age of just 16.
He did his schooling from the American School of Bombay and later enrolled himself at the Amity University. But he quit his studies to concentrate on his career in Bollywood. However, he holds a fifth degree black belt in Taekwondo.
