7 Movies That Managed To Enter The 100 Crore Club in 2016

Airlift - This movie starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur in the lead roles was one of the most outstanding films of 2016 and got a very good response from the audience as well. It was released on January 22, 2016, and collected Rs. 231.6 crore worldwide with a 8.3 IMDb rating.

Housefull 3 - This multi-starrer film which was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, failed to impress the audience. It has got a 5.1 IMDb rating, but still managed to enter the club with a collection of Rs.195 Crore worldwide.

Rustom - The movie which stars Akshay Kumar, Ileana D'Cruz, Arjan Bajwa and Esha Gupta in the lead roles, was released on August 12, 2016. This film managed to collect around Rs 216.35 Crore from the box office worldwide with a 7.1 IMDb rating.

Shivaay - An Indian action thriller film which was directed and produced by Ajay Devgan, was released on October 28, 2016. This film got average reviews with a 6.8 IMDB rating but managed to enter the club with a collection of Rs.146.18 Crore worldwide.

Sultan - The film was released on 6 July 2016 and grossed approximately RS.584 Crore worldwide with a 7.3 IMDb rating. With such a huge collection, it became the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of all time.

M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story - The movie which is based on the life of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, was released on September 30, 2016. This film got critical appreciation and went on to gross Rs.215.48 Crore from the box office with a 8.1 IMDb rating.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil - This movie which features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in lead roles was released on October 28, 2016. Despite having mixed or average reviews, it managed to collect Rs.237.84 Crore worldwide with a 5.8 IMDb rating.
