8 Billionaire's Daughters Who Are Making Our Country Proud

Taking care of a family business is different from starting a business from a scratch and then building it up entirely by yourself. Here is a list of such daughters who are making our country proud by running their businesses successfully. They are indeed an inspiration for many.

1. Ananyashree Birla

She is the daughter of business tycoon, Kumar Mangalam and Neerja Birla. She is the owner of a microfinance firm, named Svatantra Microfinance, which was launched in 2012 and provides microfinance to women in rural India.

She is also the founder of CuroCarte and Co-founder of Mpower. Anayashree has recieved many awards for her influential work as an enterpreneur which includes ET Panache Trendsetters of 2016 award for Young Business Person.

2. Isha Ambani 

The daughter of businessman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, is among the Board of Directors of Jio and Reliance Retails. She graduated in Psychology and South Asian studies from Yale University.

Isha was ranked 2nd on the Forbes' 'Youngest Billionaire Heiresses' list in 2008 with a net worth of Rs. 4,710 Crores. While in 2015 she was named among 12 powerful upcoming businesswomen in Asia.

3. Radha Kapoor 

She is the daughter of Yes Bank Founder, Rana Kapoor. She has done graduation in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design and is currently working as the Founder and CEO, DOIT Creations and executive director, ISDI.

She was 32, when she decided to try her hand at entrepreneurship which led to the foundation of DOIT Creations in 2009. Her company operates the Indian School of Design and Innovation (ISDI) in partnership with New York’s Parsons School of Design.

4. Rakhee Kapoor Tandon 

She is an Indian business entrepreneur and also the daughter of Yes Bank founder and Managing Director, Rana Kapoor.

She holds an MBA degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She owns a financial service holding company, named RAAS Capital (India) Pvt and is on the list of "India’s 25 Most Influential Women" released by India Today.

5. Yashasvini Jindal 

She is the daughter of business tycoon, Naveen Jindal and a famous Kuchipudi Dancer, Shallu Jindal. She has received many National and International awards for Kathak dance.

She is only 18 years old and is also known to be a good orator. She made a presentation on the Constitution of India for 5th Grade students, while she was in just 9th grade. She completed her schooling from the Vasant Valley School in New Delhi.

6. Jayanti Chauhan 

The daughter of businessman Ramesh Chauhan, is currently the Director of the Bisleri Group and is making her family and our country proud with her work. She did her masters in Arabic from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London, England.

After completing the Masters, she joined the Bisleri Group. She is very close to her father and in an interview she told the media that, “It is a treat to work with him. I am learning a lot from his enormous business understanding and brilliance. We are like the Batman-Robin duo.”

7. Pia Singh

She is the daughter of Kushal Pal Singh, who is the chairman and CEO of real estate developer DLF Limited, which was founded by his father-in-law Chaudhary Raghvender Singh.

Pia Singh serves as the Chairman of DLF Retail Developers Ltd. and is also the Managing Director at DT Cinemas Limited. 

8. Roshni Nadar Malhotra

She is the Executive Director and the CEO of HCL Enterprise, and the only daughter of HCL's founder, Shiv Nadar. In 2017, she was ranked 57th on the Forbes World's 100 Most Powerful Women list.

She did her MBA in Social Enterprise Management and Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management. She has also trained in classical music. Currently, she is married to Shikhar Malhotra and together they have a son named, Armaan.
