5 Bollywood Movies That Were Based On Famous Plays

OMG! Oh My God - The blockbuster movie, which stars Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles was inspired from a blockbuster play, 'Krishan Vs Kanhaiya'.

Aankhen - The film, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Rampal, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles was based on Gujarati play, called 'Andhlo Pato', in which three blind thieves rob a bank.

All the Best: Fun Begins - Rohit Shetty's directorial comedy film was inspired from a Marathi comedy play named 'Pati Sagle Uchapati'.

Super Nani - This movie was inspired by an another Gujarati play, named 'Baa Ae Mari Boundary'. However, the movie still went flop at the box office, but the play was very successful. 

The Last Lear - The film which stars Amitabh Bachchan and Preity Zinta, was based on a semi-autobiographical play, Aajker Shahjahan. The film won the National Award in 2009 for Best Feature film in English.
