Man Pranked His Dog – Some Thought It Was Adorable, Some Were Angry

I am a dog person and I firmly am of the view that dogs have far more humanity than do human beings. Dogs are loyal, loving, steadfast and altogether admirable creatures to be emulated. Their adorable little ways, mannerisms and quirks will tease a smile out of the darkest moods. So when this video of a human playing a prank on their dog went viral, some people went aww but some in fact were angry with those playing the prank.

Dogs are just lovely

They are instinctively protective, unfailingly faithful. If something happens to their beloved ‘hooman’ they worry. The doggo protecting the human is quite simply precious.

Best friend

There is a reason why dogs are known to be man’s (or woman’s) best friend.

Whatever you want

Doggies are happy to go along with whatever you want to do – they just love you – and are just grateful you're around.

Good dog!

He made sure he guarded and protected his human --- even if it meant sitting on him.

Tweeple were like aww!

The tweeple were of course delighted with the dog and how he loyally stayed by his human.

Except

Some people pointed out however that while the dog stayed close to the human, the dog did not go and get help which would be a lot more useful if this scenario was for real.

What is the dog thinking?

Some of the people conjectured that the dog probably thought his humans were very stupid.

And then there was this view

Please don’t do this to your dog, said many of the comments below the video.

Cruel!

Dogs are such deeply loving creatures that something like this would confuse them; a cruel prank.

Wrong

This tweet expresses the view that it is wrong to stress the dog just to film it and get a few social media likes.

‘Don’t mess with your dog’

While most people found the video cute, others had an opposite reaction to the man who pretended to pass out to prank his dog. They felt that there is no need to put dogs through such ‘loyalty’ tests just to feed our human egos. Just let them be! I for one do not think the dog minded – playing around like this is one of the joys of having a pet dog, I feel.
