If you’re a cricket buff like me, you’ve probably spent the last couple of weeks religiously following every IPL game and hooting for your favourite team. From nervous nail biting to angrily smashed TV remotes, we’ve definitely done it all! Let’s relive some of  the best moments of the season by taking a look at 10 amazing players that made the game what is was.

1. Virat Kohli

Virat and his prowess!

38 sixes, 4 centuries, 7 half centuries, 973 runs- this man needs no introduction. Although he hasn’t won the cup yet, he’s definitely won hearts all across the globe.

 

2. Dwayne Smith

A champion in his own

The sole reason why  Gujarat Lions did phenomenally well and were able to climb up to the top in their very first season.

 

3. Shane Watson

Watson is magic.

Despite his invincible batting prowess, Watson proved to be an all rounder this year, with 20 wickets in 16 innings and 179 runs at just 13.76.

 

4. Andre Russel

Continuing his T20 prime for the Kolkata Knight Riders, Russel’s 15 wickets at the IPL despite having played only 12 games have made him one of the most valued bowlers of the entire innings.

 

5. David Warner

All rounder alert!

The second highest run scorer at 848 runs, Warner led his team to their first IPL victory this year.

 

6. Dhawal Kulkarni

The fourth highest wicket taker, this unsung hero delivered a great game for Gujarat this season.

 

7. Moises Henriques

An all rounder, Henriques picked up 12 wickets and scored a decent 182 in just 15 innings. Way to go!

 

8. Chris Morris

With an economy rate of 7, Chris stands at an impressive second on the list of bowlers with at least 20 overs of bowling.

 

9. Bhuwneshwar Kumar

The inning’s pride

His death bowling was the reason why Sunriser’s won 3 knockout games. He also took a total of 23 wickets the entire season. Pretty impressive, if we may say so.

 

10. AB de Villiers

Third on the MVP list, third on the highest run scores list, and a close second to Virat with 37 sixes- this man is definitely on a roll!
