Full of historical culture preserved, the love sagas, the revenge stories and the war memorials, monuments are fascinating corridors, to a time gone past. But for some the history is bloody, with gore spewed and sprayed across the bricks and stones of these pieces of history. Where there is death there is the hint of spookiness. Earlier it was believed to be a result of natural movements, but later on intricate structures and stairs were found, which indicated that these had been done by architects of the age. Enough to give you chills, when all you see in front of you is skulls and bones in different shapes and sizes, adorning various places of decoration.

Legends say that one fine day of 1911, two spiritual women had come as inhabitants here; Miss Frances Garnett-Orme and Miss Eva Mountstephen. The former was found dead one morning, and the cause was found to be poison in her drink, for which the latter was tried, in spite of her repeated denials. Rumours are that the ghost of Miss Frances still haunts the gothic architecture adorned corridors and walls.

You can get hints from the fact that no watchman is ready to do night duty here. Rumours are that once a student entered the library, after hours, in order to collect some letters of the Victorian era. He went missing soon after. All that one can see, is strewn letters on the desk sometimes, even though no one touched them. Eeep!
