If you’re thinking of a fun night out, you’re probably considering going to a pub or a bar. Both are extremely cool and see serve booze. But there is a lot of difference between the two. You need to pick the one on what kind of fun is on your mind. And if you are a first timer, then you really need to know this.

PUBS: The pubs are a place to chill out. In a way you can say, it’s a booze cafe. It’s casual, comfortable and you can  spend hours at a stretch.

BARS: Busy, bustling and loud music. You really can’t except to find a quiet moment in a bar. The lighting is also dim and if you can see your own feet, you’re quite lucky. So, it’s great for those Friday night parties and total fun with the gang but no silence or relaxation.

PUBS: You can generally find a nice spread in a pub. You’ll get appetizers, complete meals and even dessert choices.

BARS: Minimalistic is the word. If you want to eat, the options are pizza or wings.

PUBS: Nice calming music that is just about loud enough for you to easily chat and have a good time.

BARS: Loud music, dance floors and almost always overcrowded.

 

  1. Alcohol

PUBS: You’ll find a nice and large collection of alcoholic drinks with wines, beers and cider.

BARS:  Here you’ll mainly find hard drinks with the range being limited to liquors, mocktails and cocktails.

 

  1. Age Limit

PUBS: Generally between 18 and 21, pubs tend to let minors enter if accompanied by an adult since they do also offer dining.

BARS: Bars tend to keep their age limit low but are stern about granting minors access.

PUBS: Their owners or managers are called Publicans or landlords. Some pubs are owned by the brewery.

BARS: Owner/manager is called Bar Manager.
