In our search for interesting things happening around us we found something that got us to thinking on what all a person would be willing to do in order to get a chilled bottle of Pepsi. You know like the things that people do on shows like Fear Factor or The Apprentice. Remember now you have no form of money to actually purchase a bottle of Pepsi:

Could you walk up to a random stranger and simply ask them?

Harry Potter meets Ron Weasley

Strange alert!

It is not as easy as it sounds. Most people find it difficult to walk up to a stranger and just introduce themselves. Imagine having to ask or request for a Pepsi. Could you say, “Hi! I’m X and I’d really like it if you bought me a cold Pepsi.”

Can you sing at the public place?

Phoebe Buffet

Singing in the metro station

Stand at a street corner and start singing the latest hit songs from movies, keep a cap in your hand containing a piece of paper that says, “Will Sing For Pepsi”. All you need to collect is about ₹ 40 and you will get your Pepsi.

How about washing dishes at highway truck dhaba for 30 mins?

Aamir Khan in Andaz Apna Apna

Uh Oh!

The dhaba’s on the highway have a lot of trucks rolling in and out. They have constant need for fresh clean plates, glasses and bowls. We estimate that 30 minutes should see about 80 of each type of utensil, which should be worth a bottle of Pepsi.

Can you make a scene?

Baaawwwlll. Sniff. Sniff. Baaawwwllll.

Baaawwwlll. Sniff. Sniff. Baaawwwllll.

This one isn’t guaranteed to work, but we need you to imagine this. You need to walk up to a roadside shop or restaurant that keeps the Pepsi branded coolers out front and is stocked with Pepsi bottles. You stand in front of the cooler, point and start bawling or howling, with tears and all.

Can you stop a stranger and offer to carry their heavy shopping bags?

Boy carrying delivery bags

Can I help you with those?

Stand outside a big grocery store and stop someone laden with many heavy bags and offer to carry their bags till their car. This one is tricky because people don’t trust easily and you have to be upfront about the payment you intend to ask for.

In case you’re wondering what it is we originally found that got us started on this, it was this video created as an extension of the #Pepsimoji campaign where students at Venky in Delhi, had to perform some random and fun acts in front of an interactive vending machine to get a free bottle of Pepsi. Look at what all the machine asked them to do!

What about you? What would you be willing to do to get a free chilled bottle of Pepsi?
