Much as the residents love to live and work in the UAE, most will acknowledge that the weather leaves a lot to be desired. It isn’t enough that the temperature is currently well into the 40s; the high humidity just makes everyone miserable here!
The weather forecast warns of sticky and dusty weather to come. Not only will temperatures remain high (41°C to 43°C), the real-feel will be even worse because of high humidity levels of 85 to 90% in the coastal areas of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah etc.
There have also been reports about fog in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Windy conditions have been raising dust storms, creating hazy conditions and reducing visibility to less than one km.
The conditions being such, the Dubai police have issued this advisory for road users in the city. There is also a weather alert warning of rough seas and waves as high as 10ft.
This tweet asks about the one thing that people would like to change about the UAE. Many would answer ‘the weather’ just like this Twitter user.
Some people just want to get into a pool of water and lie there until the summer ends!
