#ThirdWave Is Trending and People Are Trying To Find Humor in A Bad Situation

If laughter is supposed to be the best medicine, hopefully, this will have some positive impact on the COVID 19 pandemic. It has been a dire year and a half, and after an absolutely brutal second wave, experts are warning of a Third Wave. This seems to be a nightmare without end, but netizens are trying to find some humour in the #ThirdWave

#ThirdWave

Experts are predicting a third way of the coronavirus pandemic around September and October in India.

WTF!

There seems to be no end in sight – the cursed coronavirus pandemic is like some never-ending series.

Story so far

Every time we think we can relax a bit, the virus simply returns with renewed ferocity.

Vaccines

Vaccinated people may feel confident about being safe from infection but we don’t yet know what impacts new virus strains are going to have.

The apprehension

There is the fear that children are going to be more vulnerable to the newer strains of the virus. This is scary considering that this demographic has not been vaccinated at all so far.

Oh no!

Healthcare professionals have borne the brunt of the pandemic more than most.

We've gotten used to this

Going out only when necessary and then wearing masks and avoiding crowds – this is now second nature to us.

Schools reopening

In many parts of the country, it was announced that school would be reopening from September.

Now what?

It’s been a case of will-they-won’t-they for a long time now. Kids have lost out on one and a half years of their school or college life and it doesn’t seem like they're going back anytime soon.

Some don’t mind

Other kids have now realised that school wasn’t so bad after all and they want to go back.

Also don’t mind

Students don’t mind if exams get cancelled – in fact a lot of kids wish they had been in Classes X and XII last academic session so that they could have gotten exemptions as well.

Some don’t want to go back to work

They like the Work from Home gig.

We haven’t celebrated…

…As we used to for a long time. Festivals, birthdays, anniversaries and other events just haven’t been the same.

Sad!

Everything is so toned down that we may have to make do with these ‘crackers’ for Diwali.

Indoors

We’re still indoors – how much more indoors can we go now with the Third Wave!

Fed up!

This damned virus seems to be here to stay and man of us are just fed up.

Just going on an on

There is no letup --- a nightmare without end!

The future?

With the imminent #ThirdWave, is this our future going forward?
