The Prince Was Sneaking Samosas And Everyone Was Amused!

In the rosy glow that surrounds a newlywed couple, everything seems sweet and nice. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are very much at this newly wed stage and everyone grows all misty eyed with fond indulgence at everything they do. It’s sweet, really. So when the couple appeared together at a book launch people were delighted; when it seemed that the prince was sneaking samosas, they were even more so!

Cook book launch event

The couple was present at the launch of a cookbook called Together: Our Community Cookbook. The cookbook is created by Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland along with contributions from women survivors of 2017's Grenfell Tower fire in London. Meg and ‘Meg’s Mom’ as she called herself, were seen making various dishes like coconut chicken curry, aubergine masala, baba ganoush and chapatis.

Meanwhile

Prince Harry was apparently caught ‘red handed’; taking a snack home from the event. This appears to give social sanction to something many of us that thought of doing (or have actually done): wanting to preserve a tasty little something for later, or take it home to someone who would appreciate it!

Samosas!

Royal family reporter Chris Ship had this to tweet. He added that he would have ‘done actual time for those samosas’. So clearly there was good reason for the Prince sneaking away those samosas.

Hard to resist!

Apparently it isn’t just us Indians who find samosas irresistible. Their lure is apparently international!

Don’t get caught

Someone who probably boned up on their royalty history, had this tweet to share about the prince doing something similar as a boy and being checked by his mother Lady Diana at the time.

Cute!

People particularly liked that cheeky, boyish grin on Harry’s face as he took away his snack wrapped in some tissue.

Good point

I've often thought about good food going waste at a buffet after the guests have indulged themselves to the limit and there is still so much left over. Wouldn’t it be great if we were all just allowed to take home doggie bags? So much to savour the next day! Prince Harry clearly had the right idea.

Popular prince!

Prince Harry is thought of as likeable, affable and a generally nice bloke. He is popular and well liked; the samosa episode clearly did not detract from this in the least bit!
