The 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse awakened us to the many possibilities of the multiverse. It was a complex narrative and the IOscar winning film itself was critically acclaimed and popularly very well-received. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) will be the first of a two-part sequel to the 2018 film and the first look trailer released recently. For a lot of reasons, this has the fandom really excited.
It starts out with Miles Morales as Spiderman listening to the song Sunflower from the first film and then we see Gwen Stacey /Spiderwoman from another dimension.
This one hits theatres in October 2022 but fans are already very excited. Part two will be out in 2023 and a female focused spin off is also in the works.
