Generally, it makes no difference to Indians as to who the president of the United States of America is. But after the election of the unpredictable and unconventional Donald Trump as POTUS, all that has changed. His often unhinged utterances are mostly the subject matter of amusement and amazement for Indians; but in some cases the policies of his government actually make a difference to us. Outsourcing companies such as Wipro, TCS, Infosys would be hit; as a result the stock prices of these companies plummeted by 9%!
The most sought after Indian bride groom is the one working in America. However, this species of groom is no longer so desirable for Indian parents looking for a match; especially in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh (this region is from where the largest number of Indians migrate to the US each year). Parents are rejecting these proposals as a direct consequence of Trump.
However, an Indian techie had reason to thank Donald Trump. Bangalore based Prem Chander is delighted that the family of Sarita, his childhood crush are no longer looking for a H1B visa holder for her. They now prefer an Indian groom. Prem thanks Trump for giving him a chance to marry his childhood love!
