#GiveAGirlAFuture, London Fashion Week An Open Protest Over Disability And Model Sizes

London Fashion Week, that started on September 16 is in its full swing! The fashion event will witness a new wave of millennial designers who are all set to try their hand in the fashion industry. Interestingly, this time 7 out of 8 new designers handpicked for the British Fashion Council’s NewGen mentoring scheme are women. Further, it will be an eventful week for  both foreign and Indian designers and models as well as who have participated in the London Fashion Week.

1. Laxmi Aggarwal- The Acid Attack Survivor

It's been just a few weeks when Reshma Qureshi, a braveheart acid attack survivor from India, walked the ramp at the New York Fashion Week for designer Archana Kochhar, and now, it's time to be proud of our bravehearts again!

Laxmi Aggarwal, founder of NGO Stop Acid Attacks is all set to walk the ramp at London Fashion Week!  She'll also be representing India at London Fashion Week.

2. Designer Rocky S

Designer Rocky S will also be representing India at London Fashion Week. When asked about his views on Fashion, he said that Fashion is the way of life and that it cannot be restricted according to area. Hinting at the influential fashion trends of the west in the east, he said, "trend that starts in the west, finds its way to the east. Similarly, designers across the world are trying to make their mark beyond borders and continents too, that directly contributes to the growth of fashion and the rise of trends."

3. The Tribal Indian Designs

Tribal Indian Designs

Last year, Designer Yana Ngoba had teamed up with the fabric designer Nabam Aka to spread the magic with alluring and colourful tribal Indian designs on stage. Together, they breathed life into the loin loom, which is one of the oldest looms of the world. The platform had already witnessed the Indian magic and is all sparkling today with different hues of Fashion.

4. The Silliness Of London Fashion Week

The London Fashion week has always been the most playful and experimental of the Milan, New York, London and Paris fashion show circuit. Its silliness was kicked off in a puff of faux fur, glitter, balloon dresses, clown trousers, pastel pirate hats and bonnets.
