Ingenious How This Andhra Village Used Stuffed Toys To Get Rid Of Monkey Menace

Colonies which never had a monkey problem are now infested with them. The monkey menance in the country is rising every year which should be given a permenent solution. The authorities are yet to come up with a way to stop the monkey menance but this Andra Pradesh village has brought a full stop to the problem by taking collective efforts. Monkey attack

Most of the villages in Andra are fed up of the monkey menace. Monkey attacks have increased in most of the villages in Andhra Pradesh's North Godavari district.

Villagers faced severe problems

With the sharp increase of monkeys in the city, villagers in North Andra started facing severe problems. These monkeys would enter the home, steal valuable things or food, and also trouble the kids and passengers.

Authorities failed to help the residents

There were several  complaints from the residents but authorities failed to help them every time. The local repeatedly ran to the authorities for help but they failed every time.  on the complaint, the officials would say that there are hundreds of monkey in the city and it is not possible to catch them all.

Serious monkey attack in the city

The problem of monkey attack was so severe in the village that a man was killed by a herd of monkeys in Andra. 60-year-old man Sammaiah Goud was killed after a herd of monkeys attacked him at his home in Ghanpur village in Mulug Ghanpur Mandal. When the man tried to shoo the monkey away, he pounced on him attacking and biting severely.

Prevention from monkey menace

Fed up with the state of affairs, the residents got together and hatched an ingenious plan to use stuffed toys that looked like tigers. The villagers placed stuffed animals that looked like tigers throughout the villages, scaring the monkeys away. And surprisingly keeping scare tigers throughout the villages finally worked.

Curbing the problem

The tigers were kept for several days and it was found that the monkeys hadn't returned for an entire week.  Many more such stuffed toys were placed 100 meters from each other throughout the village. Houses kept few toys in front of the door in order to disuade monkeys from entering that home.

Happy residents

Residents have shared their joy by telling that the monkeys haven't returned to the village since the soft toys were kept. Leaving them hopeful that they might have found a durable solution to their monkeys in the city.
