A few weeks ago we said flirting is an art and like all artistic pursuits, people have to learn it. Today we watched the @Reebok and @Myntra story unfold and realised that things have come full circle in the evolution of flirting, so we simply had to talk about it some more. Let us take you through the flirting timeline.

Way back when, flirting was all in the signs. Nothing was ever said outright. In fact a lot of talking was done with plants and flowers.

This was followed by some action, however little. The flushed skin, the look in the eyes, the slight smile and the mock anger.

Then came the period of following their group with your group, passing notes, finding ways of telling them your name, and so on.

Then came the generation that was much more open about what they wanted and they weren’t afraid to say it.

I want only you

Let’s face it though. Things were a lot more fun when everything wasn’t so blatantly in your face. Somethings should be left up to the imagination. Somethings should be said through signs and code. That is probably why emoji’s or emoticons have done so well.

Today, Reebok(@Reebok) and Myntra (@Myntra) took to twitter to have a quick to and fro, and it was utterly and completely refreshing. Here is the screenshot and we wish there was more of this kind of ‘flirting’ between the brands we love and identify with.
