Did You Know About These Incredible Upcoming Dubai Projects?

Dubai is already home to a lot of superlatives – the tallest building, the biggest manmade archipelago, the world’s most luxurious hotel, world’s largest indoor theme park and so much more are all located here. There are many more wonders in the pipeline that you may or may not have heard about but will be fascinated by nonetheless:

The recently opened Dubai Frame

Described as the “biggest picture frame on the planet”, this is one of the newest attractions of the global city. The 150 mt high and 93 mt wide building is built in such a way that all the city’s modern landmarks can be seen from one side while from the other, you can see the city’s older parts.

Aladdin City

This is going to be another local icon to wow visitors. Spread out over an estimated 110,000 sq. mts, the project with hotels, eateries, stores bridges and walkways is said to be inspired by tales from the Arabian Nights, Aladdin’s story. The towers are designed to look like Aladdin's lamps and the connecting bridges shaped like dragons and lizards.

The Dubai Steps

This is yet another architectural marvel in the works and like the Dubai Frame, it seems to be one of those things that seem to defy gravity! It is envisaged that the building, to be in the shape of giant steps – leading nowhere – will be 100 mt high with about 25 storeys and 500 steps.

The Heart of Europe

One of the city’s most extravagant and incredible of schemes, The Heart of Europe consists of six islands, each based on a scenic continental location. The idea is to give people an authentic experience of Europe and will be a part of The World project. Vienna, Rome, Andalusia, and the Cote d’Azur will be located on one island, while separate islands will feature Monaco, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden and St Petersburg.

Museum of the future

Currently under construction, this museum will open in 2019 and will feature futuristic design and innovations. The surface of Mars, augmented reality, AI for business, the future of robotics and much more will be housed in this unique crescent shaped building.

The Rotating, Dynamic tower

It is planned that the tower will be shape shifting and rotating 360 degrees in both directions. The 80 storey, 1,273-foot tower is likely to become reality by 2020. Whatever will they think of next! A new world in the sea? Wait, they already did that!
