I remember April Fool's Day used to be a big deal in school. It would last for several days or even weeks after the event when students would take great delight in fooling, scaring, and misguiding others. On Twitter as well, April Fool’s Day was a big deal. People were tweeting their thoughts and pranks; even brands were pranking customers:
People play tricks on other unsuspecting souls on the day.
Or more elaborate and intricate pranks.
This would have needed a bit of preplanning.
They made the announcement that they would now be accepting Bitcoin as payment. Considering how expensive cryptocurrencies are, what exactly is bitcoin going to buy on Flipkart?
They made this video where they spoke about a ‘road legal air capable’ car using some animation, expert sounding people and jargon! Well done, Ola.
Lest one gets conned!
People know that they will get pranked – but some of us still get taken in.
Some don’t like this day much.
Some participate with gusto, others don’t really like this observance/tradition.
When nature plays pranks.
April Fool’s day is the wrong day to do some things – they may be taken as a joke.
This is actually a good idea – a face-saver!
Politicians making and breaking promises is par for the course. So in a sense it is April Fool’s day every day for those who believe in those promises.
When life itself is a joke, what is one day in April!
… Until normalcy returns.
The past year has been like one extended joke. April Fool’s Day seemed to start last year and seems to have stretched till 1 April 2021 - wonder when this nightmarishly long joke is going to end.
