Working From Home? The Tweeple Say Pets and Kids Are Coworkers

As someone who has worked from home for many years now, the coronavirus has not impacted my workday one way or the other.  However, many are surprised to discover the many possibilities and the ease with which they can, in fact, work from home. Obviously staying at home with more than usual time on one's hands means that some are missing office, others are taking up new hobbies and of course, posting on Twitter with hashtags like #WorkFromHome and #WorkingFromHomeLife.

Some

Aren't getting much work done.

Others

Are missing office.

A possibility

Those hated co-workers? Maybe that wasn’t hate after all.

The new co-workers

They are not quite what people are used to.

New PA

With a difference.

New boss

An unnerving and demanding new boss, apparently.

The distractions

Who can work with that face staring and demanding attention!

Distractions that offer comfort

For a lot of people, spending more time with family is the positive fallout of the #WorkFromHome movement.

Some pets…

…Are happier than others. Cats are somewhat less pleased to have their status quo disturbed; their personal space invaded.

More distractions

And ways to circumvent them.

Some side effects

Some men working from home seem to have discovered new joys.

Some men

Are getting to appreciate what stay-at-home moms deal with every day.

It can get a bit much

With school cancelled, the kids are at home; and they can quickly become bored and peevish.

Traditional joys?

This is the way grandma used to make potato chips!

Other side effects

Some are acting upon some other weird ideas as well.

Rediscovering family

One of the best side effects of #WorkingFromHomeLife is that people are finding the time and new ways to engage and bond with family.

For some…

….Work from home seems to have a different meaning altogether.

Some are lucky

They live in a place where they can step out and enjoy this.

Some are less lucky

They have to battle this.

The commute

Some are so used to their commute that they do this, supposedly.

Making good use of time

Some are fitting some cardio into the work day.

The joys of #WorkingFromHome

Perhaps the coronavirus is going to be life-altering in a lot of ways. We are already discovering that pollution is down significantly all over the world thanks to more humans being indoors. Perhaps nature is teaching us – rather forcefully – better ways to live, work and be, by virtue of the coronavirus?
