Unmasking Teenage Angst: 6 Things That Make Up The Emotional Rollercoaster They Ride

Teenage is the most complex phase of all the phases of growing up. You are no longer a little kid, but you are also not grown up enough to know all the things! It is a phase when you are intelligent enough to know the right from the wrong, but you're not experienced enough to handle the situation well! Hence, you go through an unexplainable kind of angst. Let's unmask the angst here!

1. Confused

Everyone in their teen years gets extremely confused about everything. From thinking about the future to the present decisions and even the way one has reacted in the past gets all blurred and confusing. Parents add to this because they treat teenagers like children but expect them to behave like adults.

2. Angry

Teenagers get angry at almost all the little things because they're never in the state of a perfect balance where they can decide for themselves and they hate being told what to do which creates further conflict.

3. Tired

The sleeping patterns are almost riddled up! Teenagers either sleep too much or are sleep deprived which is why they are lethargic and tired all round the day.

4. Stubborn

Every teenager in the world would relate to this. It is that age when you do not want to be commanded over by anyone, not even your parents or teachers. You only listen to your own self in those years.

5. Doubtful

Even the psychologists have claimed that during teenage, a certain kind of uncertainty develops toward beliefs and authorities that previously seemed irrefutable such as values, ideas or opinions. This makes the teenagers extremely doubtful towards everything.

6. Depressed

The teenagers often feel  depressed over silliest things. Once out of the teenage, one realizes that they were crying over a lot of things that didn't even deserved a moment's thought.

Teenage is just the phase of life in which the human develops and goes through extreme pressures. But it is also the time when an individual explores and learns multiple things, more from the peers. Hence, it is advised for the parents to keep a check on your child's friends or be friends with them making them extremely comfortable with you so that they can share everything they feel.
