Each time I have visited a historical monument in Delhi in the recent past, I have come across young couples, decked up, made up and with a camera crew in tow. It seems that the pre-wedding photo shoot is now de rigueur for the upwardly mobile, with-it sorts. To me, who encourages her daughters to elope rather than spend a fortune on wedding festivities, this is all both amusing and bizarre. Apart from the pre-wedding photo shoot, there are plenty of other ways for couples to express their mutual love and announce their hotness to the world as well. So this hanging-out-of-a-train photo shoot caught the eye:
Raquel and Miguel are a travel-blogger couple from Portugal travelling the world and posting their romantic pictures on Instagram. These artfully romantic pictures have become quite popular among their followers.
They took this picture while in Sri Lanka. While many appreciated the aesthetics of the picture and the free-spirited nature of the picture, a lot of people thought this was stupid and dangerous.
We can whaaat? Or even in which universe is this romantic! More importantly, we have to ask how on earth were the two misguided souls suspended like this!
You can say this is cute or funny or something. Or you can conclude that this is just a couple that adores Gujarati snacks.
Her slate says ‘found my ATM’; his says ‘found my cook’. This is so awful I nearly gagged.
The pair - presumably getting married sometime soon - gaze deep into each other's eyes; the backdrop says we are coming soon. An accident? I think not!
That wedding sherwani and jooties hung on a bare tree are just creepy!
If this woman is binning a man, this doesn’t portend very well for wedded life ahead!
It may or may not be romantic; but the only thought in my mind was this: I am wondering if they managed to salvage all those fine wedding outfits after the chlorinated dunking they received!
Those are some pretty weird photos: impaling his head with a baguette, turning slowly into horses… I suppose everyone is entitled to live out their idea of what it means to be romantic.
