Here Are 7 Things That Hotels Really Don't Want You To Know

Hotel staff is usually very considerate and helpful. They are always keen to help you with your concerns at every time. But then, they are always more loyal to the hotelkeeper! Hence, they would tell you these things! We've picked some of the best hacks that you must know before checking in a hotel!

1. The Room Is Not As Clean

Since the housekeeping staff usually get just an hour between the check-in and check-out time, the rooms of the hotels are not as clean as you would have thought. Glassware, lift switches, TV remotes, dresser drawers, telephones, and faucets are often not on the to-do list of housekeeping staff.

2. Third Party Bookings Are Treated Differently

Hotels can give you more discount than third parties. Hence, third party bookings are not always more profitable. Furthermore, when the hotel gets overbooked, the ones who have booked the hotel online are turned away first!

3. Early Check-Ins And Late Night Check-Ins Are Better

Early check-in and late night check-outs are usually more fruitful. Because sometimes, when the room is not ready at the morning, you might get an upgrade. Similarly, even late at night, most rooms are full and only the luxury ones are unoccupied.

4. Luxury Upgrade Is Always An Option

All hotel rooms are not same, as the hotel staff would always tell you! There will always be a room with a larger bathtub and bigger balconies, so if you are upfront about asking for it, you might get it!

5. Sunday Is The Best Day To Arrive At A Hotel

Sunday mornings are the time when vacation travelers have left or are leaving and the business travelers haven't yet arrived. Checking in that time, provided you get an off from your office, will get you a better selection of rooms. Alternatively, you can always look up for low season of a concerned place and pay a visit then to get best prices!

6. Discounted Kid's Menu

Hotel staff generally do not inform about the discounted prices for kid's play room, kid's menu and many other such facilities that you might like to avail. Hence, it is recommended to do your homework on your own!

7. Concierge recommendations can be biased

True enough, concierge recommendations can be biased! Whenever the hotel staff recommends something, they're doing marketing for which they'll be paid for. It is not always their personal opinion.
