Spiders seem to trigger some very strong reactions in people – the phobia of spiders has its own name and spiders have had numerous horror films made around the general theme. Spiders sometimes quite largely harmless and could also benefit us, however most people seem to fear and despise them. A woman discovered lots and lots of spiders in her home and she as well as others on Twitter seemed to freak out.
This is a pretty horrifying sight to walk in on. Many of the tweeple thought so and the picture attracted some strong reactions.
Some thought it was fake or a photoshopped image.
For the doubting Thomases, the video showed that all those spiders were indeed real and worse, alive and crawling around --- enough to make the skin crawl!
This image response speaks about another such unwelcome spider discovery.
Many of the tweeple were simply horrified at the sight.
Someone else had had a similar experience but with a very strange aftermath where the spider dead bodies disappeared!
Spiders do tend to elicit some rather extreme reactions of disgust and loathing.
For some reason, these creepy-crawlies seem to really scare people disproportionately considering how small they are compared to humans.

People suggested various ways to just destroy the spiders. Burning them seemed to be the solution of choice for most.
Some suggested burning down the house --- just to make sure that the spiders would be destroyed.
Nuke the site just to be sure, suggests this tweet.
Some would rather move out of a property with that kind of spider infestation.
Some tried to introduce some sanity into the discussion by pointing out that spiders are actually useful. They keep household pests in control and aren't really harmful unless really provoked.
When it comes to spiders, logic and facts generally go out the window. Most people just have a strong, visceral negative reaction to a spider. And when it’s those many spiders all at once, well that is just the stuff of nightmares.
