Swimming is one of the things that I have missed most over the past year and a half because swimming pools have largely remained closed. So when social media posts about pools become viral they catch my envious eye – such as this video of pandas hanging loose in a puddle and a sky pool in London. Check them out – what seems more appealing?
Those pandas are definitely enjoying vegging in that pool. It can be a great antidote to the oppressive heat.
Those pandas are really cute – and funny.
Just sitting there in the pool, doing nothing --- people were envious of those pandas. This looks like the kind of vacation many of us want - but aren't getting any time soon
The scene reminds us of songs like this one popularised by the one and only Ella Fitzgerald.
Pandas are mostly gentle creatures that rarely attack humans. Some would like to join them in that pool.
This sky pool in London is the world's first to be built between two buildings. A transparent pool that looks exceedingly inviting.
A transparent pool of this sort is rather like an aquarium, points out this tweet – not everyone’s cup of tea.
The pool does look rather precarious – to me as well.
Just weeks ago, this glass bridge in China had collapsed.
These seem to be CCTV captures but look like something straight out of a disaster movie.
Those aren't exactly skyscrapers. The buildings seem to be about ten floors or less. Is that better or worse in terms of safety?
The sky pool seems really scary – to a lot of people – because glass can crack... and break, right?
…Scene from the movie The Mechanic starring Jason Statham.
Some do not – it is just too scary and weird, they thought. So many phobias: falling, drowning, virus exposure, swimming in the urine of strangers...That's a hard 'no' for me! Said another tweet.
The water is clear, the surroundings beautiful – I think this looks better than the muddy panda pool and that human aquarium sky pool suspended between two buildings.
