Cricket in India is a religion in itself, and people love watching it, gossiping about it, and following their favourite stars on different social media sites. Of course it’ll be impossible to find another Sachin Tendulkar or another Kapil Dev, but India has a lot of rising talent in it’s kitty. Let’s take a look at the new stars of cricket.

1. Arman Jaffer

He was in the news for breaking the record for the highest runs in the Harris Shield Tournament held in 2013. By making 473 runs off 359 balls, hitting 16 sixes and 65 fours and by scoring a 498 runs in a Giles Shield Match, he proved his potential, as well as how great he is going to become.

 

2. Unmukt Chand

Hailing from Uttranchal, Unmukt plays for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL and was the Captain of the under 19 team winning both ICC Cricket World Cup and Asia Cup in 2012. Currently, he holds the coveted position of the Captain of the Indian ‘A’ team. He is an athlete to watch out for.

 

3. Sarfaraz Khan

A new star!

In the ICC under 19 Cricket World Cup in 2014, Sarfaraz made 74 runs in 78 balls and lead India to victory against Pakistan by 40 runs. He is also known for breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record of  individual runs in a Harris Shield Match.

 

4. Arjun Tendulkar

Like father like son

The son of  cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun played his first Under-13 tournament in Pune in 2010. Later, his skills were put to test when he was able to join the Mumbai U-14 in the West Zone leg matches of the BCCI tournament. In January 2014, he made it to the Mumbai age group. Recently, he wreaked havoc in the U-16 tournament and did his dad proud!

 

5. Mayank Dagar

Mayank had a brilliant performance in the ICC U-19 World Cup, with 11 wickets in four matches. A force tie be reckoned with in the future!
