You Won’t Believe What These Famous People did Before They Became Famous

We’ve all heard the story about superstar Rajini having been a bus conductor at one point before entering films and changing the firmament of films down south forever. But apart from this well-known story, here are some other strange facts about celebrities that you may not have known about; here is what some famous people did before they became famous:

How Harrison Ford landed his Star Wars role

He was installing a door for Francis Ford Coppola. He was asked to read out lines written for the male lead for the movie Star Wars. It was his backup career as a carpenter that landed him the role of a life time and catapulted him into the big time.

Natalie Portman was a scientist!

Well, kind of. She co-authored and published two papers for scientific journals during her stint at Harvard. If you don’t understand Frontal Lobe Activation during Object Permanence: Data from Near-Infrared Spectroscopy which was the subject of one study, maybe you’ll understand this: A Simple Method To Demonstrate the Enzymatic Production of Hydrogen from Sugar. No? Ah well, she won an Oscar. We all understand that.

Sylvester Stallone's first 'movie'

That would be Rocky right? Wrong. That would be a rather tacky, low-budget soft core porn film creatively entitled Party at Kitty and Stud's. Apparently Stallone was sleeping in a bus station at the time and couldn’t really afford to be picky about the sort of work he did. He was paid $200 for two days’ work.

Christopher Walken did this!

At the tender age of 15 he was a lion tamer in a circus. Apparently it was a lioness named Sheba that he performed with. “She'd come and bump your leg. Like a house cat,” he says about his circus days. We’ll just take his word for it.

Danny DeVito did this!

He did people’s hair. Seriously! At 19 he started to work with his sister at her beauty salon. He needed a job; she said he may as well start with this! When she wanted to sell cosmetics from her salon, she sent DeVito to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts to study makeup.

Rihanna was an army cadet

Before she became a world-famous star she was in a sub-military program. She didn’t graduate from high school but signed up to train whilst still a teen. She reached the rank of corporal and later shifted focus to the glamour world.

Pierce Brosnan was a fire-eater

He ran away from home at 16 to join the circus. He started off as a fire eater before he became a member of a theatre workshop in London and made his stage debut in 1976. Then he was Remington Steel and the iconic James Bond and a bunch of other very suave guys!

Brad Pitt dressed as a chicken

He did a lot of things before he became an actor: he drove strippers around in limos and also worked at moving refrigerators. Also, he dressed up in a chicken suit and danced outside the chicken restaurant El Pollo Loco presumably to attract customers.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui was a watchman

He may be the thinking woman's hearththrob now, but his was a long struggle which originated from very humble beginnings. One of 9 children, he had to earn a living and worked as a pharmacist for a while. He also worked as a watchman for over a year in Delhi.

Boman Irani was a waiter

He was a room-service waiter in the early years and also helped with the family bakery business. He them became interested in photography and later in acting. The rest as they say, is history!
